Euro Lambretta France 2024

I was so excited! A few of us from the Lambretta Club of Australia had managed to snag tickets to the Euro Lambretta event at Magny-Cours, France, from 13th-16th June 2024. These tickets are like gold dust for European clubs and having not participated at a Euro since 1993, because adulting and work commitments got in the way, I felt honoured and privileged to have the opportunity to be one of those lucky members to be going and was thrilled to be hopping on a plane all the way from Australia for some scooter shenanigans in France.

2024 Aussie Lammy Jammy

Easter snuck up on us like the Easter Bunny trying to steal our chocolates. After missing last year’s event, Steve and I were excited for the big weekend ahead, especially since we had tickets to see Gladys Knight on Thursday night with Chris and Nicky.

We left Sydney later than planned because Steve was working right up till the last minute. He also had a quick visit from a fellow scooterist on his way down the coast to the Lammy Jammy and of course, this involved a cuppa and a chat. I mean, come on Steve, priorities! 2019 Moto Giro in Bathurst

Each year Australian Scooterists participate in the Motoretta Giro Internazionale. What is this Moto Giro you ask? Started in Italy, this is now an annual international event when groups of classic motorbikes and scooters get together worldwide for a ride of a different nature. It’s a regularity trial, not a race. Basically the objective is to ride three timed laps non-stop around a designated circuit and whoever does each lap in the most consistent time, wins. It’s harder than you think!
